In this article we will formulate a Bowling Green vs Cincinnati prediction for this College Football game on Saturday, September 6th at Nippert Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this week 2 matchup.

Bowling Green Falcons Betting Preview

The Bowling Green Falcons are 1-0 this year after they defeated Lafayette by a score of 26-7 in their first game. Bowling Green led 7-0 after the first quarter and they added 10 points in the second to lead 17-0 at the half. The Falcons had their lead cut to 20-7 in the third quarter, but scored the last six points to pull away in the victory. Bowling Green out gained Lafayette by a total of 267-184, went 5-14 on third down conversions, and tied the turnover battle at zero. Drew Pyne went 12-18 for 109 yards, while Kaderris Roberts rushed 12 times for 66 yards and RJ Garcia II caught two passes for 32 yards in the win. The BG defense was led by Gideon Lampron and Dorian Pringle, who both had nine tackles, while the defense had three sacks and seven tackles for loss.

Bowling Green wasn’t really tested in their first game, but they also didn’t look very good. The offense struggled to put the ball in the end zone and they couldn’t even break 300 yards. The Falcons defense played fine, but they absolutely need to see improvement on offense.

Cincinnati Bearcats Betting Preview

The Cincinnati Bearcats are 0-1 this season after they lost to Nebraska by a score of 20-17 last week. Cincinnati led 3-0 in the first quarter, but they went into halftime down 13-3. The Bearcats cut the deficit to 13-10 in the third and 20-17 in the fourth, but they threw an interception in the final minutes as they were nearly in field goal range. Cincinnati was out gained by a total of 356-271, went 3-10 on third down conversions, and lost the turnover battle by a total of 2-0. Brendan Sorsby went 13-25 for 69 yards and one interception, while rushing for 96 yards and two scores. Tawee Walker carried the ball seven times for 53 yards, while Cyrus Allen caught five passes for 41 yards in the loss. The Cincy defense was led by Jake Golday, who recorded 12 tackles, while the defense had three sacks and six tackles for loss.

Cincinnati didn’t play very well offensively against Nebraska, but they still had a shot to tie or win at the end, before Sorsby made an awful decision with the ball. The Bearcats will need to get the passing game going before conference play starts, but luckily they are playing a much easier opponent here.

Bowling Green vs Cincinnati Prediction

Cincinnati gave Nebraska a pretty good test to start the season last week, but they have to feel like they let that one slip away. The Bearcats had almost no passing yards in the game, so we should see plenty of passing in this one, as they try to get Sorsby going. The ground game was a plus for Cincinnati and they should control the line of scrimmage in this one. I don’t like how Bowling Green looked against Lafayette and I think this game could get ugly. Take the Bearcats to cover here.

David Racey's Pick: Cincinnati -21.5
