Ohio State Has Had a Lot of Time to Think

Ohio State has had a lot of time to think after their loss against Michigan, and they have a ton of pressure on them. Many believe this is still a team that can win a title, but to do that, they have to play a lot better than they did against Michigan. On November 30th, against the Wolverines, the offense only scored 10 points and they ended up losing by three points. Will Howard has looked good at times this season, but against Michigan, he looked awful. He completed 19 of his 33 passes for 175 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. 

Carnell Tate finished with six catches for 58 yards. Ohio State is averaging 35.5 points while their defense is giving up 10.9 points per game. In this game, if Ohio State wants to find success they are going to need the defense to be good, but even more important Will Howard is going to need to have the best game of his season.  

Tennessee Has High Hopes

Tennessee has high hopes heading into this game and they believe they can go on the road and advance in the playoffs. In the last game against Vanderbilt, Tennessee scored 36 points and they ended up winning by 13 points. Nico Iamalevea completed 18 of his 26 passes for 257 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception. If he can play like that again here, Tennessee has a great chance. Sedrick Henderon also rushed 17 times for 60 yards and a touchdown. 

Tennessee on the season is averaging 37.2 points while their defense is giving up 13.9 points per game. The offense is ranked 8th best in college football. On the season Iamaleava has thrown for 2,512 yards, 19 touchdowns, and five interceptions. Dylan Sampson has rushed for 1,485 yards and 22 touchdowns. 

Tennessee vs Ohio State Prediction

Give me Tennessee here, and I think they can win this game outright. Tennessee on the season is averaging 37.2 points per game and they are going to find success here. Will Howard just isn’t the answer for this Ohio State team, and they are going to really struggle to move the ball here. Now I am not saying Tennessee is going to score 37 points here, but the lack of scoring by Ohio State is going to be teh difference here. Ohio State won’t score more than 20 points here, and Tennessee is going to score enough to keep this game close. Back the Volunteers against the spread. I am also throwing a few dollars on Tennessee on the money line.
