Over on the Purdue side, they beat Indiana State 49-0 in their opener then hit a rough losing streak. The next seven games were all losses to Notre Dame, Oregon State, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Illinois, Oregon, and Northwestern in succession.

Penn State vs Purdue Prediction

I’ll lean toward Penn State, but it's a pretty hefty line. The Nittany Lions had a great day on offense against Washington, rattling off 486 yards (266 rushing), 6.9 yards per play, 24 first downs, and a very nice 10-of-13 rate on third-down conversions. The defense gave up just 193 yards (119 passing) on the other side. It was a nice comeback after a seven-point loss to a great Ohio State team on November 2.

As for Purdue, they were steamrolled by that great Buckeyes team over the weekend. Purdue mustered just 206 yards of offense (108 passing), 3.5 yards per play, 15 first downs, two turnovers, and a 2-of-15 effort on third- and fourth-down tries. That makes 10 or fewer points in four of the last six games, but to be fair the Boilermakers have played some tough teams in that time. Another tough team is on the schedule for Saturday.
