East Carolina posted a couple of victories to start out the season, beating Norfolk State 42-3 and Old Dominion 20-14. The Pirates would then lose their next pair to App State and Liberty before a 30-20 win over UTSA in game five.

I’m going to stay with Army. Back on Saturday the Knights once again flexed their muscle in the running game, notching 413 yards on the ground to help with 8.0 yards per play and 28 first downs. Defensively Army was great as well with 303 yards allowed (242 passing), two picks and 5-of-13 on third-down tries.
As for East Carolina, they didn’t look so good on defense versus Charlotte in their last outing despite holding the 49ers to just 5-of-12 on third downs. ECU coughed up 311 rushing yards (517 total), 26 first downs and zero takeaways. Things aren’t going to get any easier against Army’s running game this weekend.
