The Cajuns started out the year pretty well, notching a pair of early victories in their first two games. The opener was a 40-10 blowout victory over Grambling State. Next came a 34-10 win over Kennesaw State, marking the Cajuns’ first road victory of the season.
Last weekend versus Tulane, the Cajuns gave up 21 points in the third quarter during a 41-33 loss. Ben Woolridge threw for 238 yards, two TDs, and two interceptions with a couple of rush scores. Terrance Carter led the receivers on 79 yards and a touchdown.

Back on September 14 in their last appearance, the Deacons were down 23-6 by halftime to Ole Miss. Wake Forest didn’t score from there and left with a blowout loss 40-6. QB Hank Bachmeier posted 239 yards, while Taylor Morin caught five balls for 77 yards.

Louisiana vs Wake Forest Prediction
I’m going to stick with the Cajuns. Louisiana played an uneven game versus Tulane last weekend, giving up 355 total yards (272 rushing) and 9-of-14 on third-down conversions. The Cajuns could only convert two of nine third downs themselves and also had a pair of turnovers.
As for Wake Forest, they’ll have the advantage of some extra rest and preparation here. The Deacons looked pretty rough against a tough Ole Miss team in their last outing, notching 311 total yards (46 rushing), two turnovers, and 4-of-17 on third-down tries. Wake should match up much better this Saturday however, so it’ll be an interesting matchup.
