Over on the Oregon State side, they took a blowout win in their first game as well. That one was a 38-15 finish versus Idaho State. The Beavers were able to keep it going against San Diego State on September 7, powering out a shutout victory 21-0.

Matched up against Oregon last weekend, the Beavers managed a respectable first half, trailing 22-14. Oregon State couldn’t score from there however and lost 49-14. QB Gevani McCoy logged 172 pass yards. Anthony Hankerson led the rush with 57 yards and both TDs off 15 carries.

I’ll stick with Oregon State. The Beavers were outmatched in their last game versus a great Oregon team, giving up 546 total yards (306 passing) and 26 first downs. All things considered, the offense wasn’t too bad. Oregon State mustered 309 yards (178 passing), 19 first downs, zero turnovers, and 7-of-15 on third-down tries.

As for Purdue, they played an even more lopsided game versus the Irish. The Boilermakers posted just 162 total yards (124 passing), 3.3 yards per play, six first downs, and 1-of-12 on third-down tries. Purdue will match up much better in this one, but I don’t think they’ll cover if the Beavers play well.
