Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Betting Preview
The Yellow Jackets kicked off their season with a matchup against Florida State. Georgia Tech eked out a win there with a 24-21 result. The Jackets would keep it going in game two with a 35-12 win over Georgia State but lost the next game 31-28 against Syracuse.
Last weekend versus VMI, the Yellow Jackets didn’t have many issues. Georgia Tech held a 38-0 edge by halftime and cruised to the win 59-7. Haynes King threw for 275 yards and three scores. Eric Singleton caught one of those TDs among his five grabs for 102 yards.
Louisville Cardinals Betting Preview
Over on the Louisville side, they didn’t have any issues with Austin Peay in their 2024 opener. The Cardinals won that one 62-0 with 28 points in the second quarter alone. QB Tyler Shough bagged 232 yards with four scores, and Isaac Brown added five carries for 123 yards and a TD.
Another big win came in game two versus Jacksonville State as Louisville cruised to a dominant 49-14 finish to move to 2-0 overall. Shough posted 349 yards and two TDs this time. Leading the receivers was Ja’Corey Brooks with six catches for 89 yards.

Georgia Tech vs Louisville Prediction
I’ll probably just stick with Louisville. It’s a coin flip, though. The Cardinals have had some extra time to prep for this one, though they haven’t really been tested yet this season. In their last matchup versus Jacksonville State, the Cardinals notched a whopping 610 yards of offense (377 passing), 8.6 yards per play, 29 first downs, and 9-of-13 on third-down tries. Georgia Tech should put up much more of a fight, though.
Speaking of the Yellow Jackets, last weekend they demolished an overmatched VMI team with 572 total yards (382 passing), 8.7 yards per play, and 30 first downs. Georgia Tech’s defense gave up just 104 yards (92 passing), five first downs, and 1-of-13 on third downs on the other side. You could certainly make a case for Georgia Tech here following some pretty strong performances through four games this season.
