In this game, Duke needs the defense to step up in a big way here.

In the last game against Western Kentucky, the offense was better, but they still weren’t good enough. Middle Tennessee scored 21 points but the defense gave up 49 points. Even though the defense was awful, the offense actually was decent with the moving ball. Under center for Middle Tennessee is Nicolas Vattiato and he completed 24 of his 31 passes for 456 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. If they are going to find success in this game they are going to need the defense to be better here. 

Duke vs Middle Tennessee Prediction

Duke has been consistently scoring 26 points, but in this game, they are going to go even higher than that. This Middle Tennessee defense is garbage and their garbage defense is going to be a problem again here. Duke is going to have no issue running up the score here, and the Middle Tennesse is going to have no issue getting the job done here. Back Duke to win this game and cover the spread.
