Tommy Paul faces Francisco Cerundolo in the final of the 2026 HSBC Championships at Queen’s Club in London. The match is scheduled for Sunday, June 21. Can Paul win his second title at Queen’s? Or will Cerundolo upset him in another grass-court final as he did in Eastbourne three years ago? Here’s our Tommy Paul vs Francisco Cerundolo prediction. This preview will also include a Tommy Paul vs Francisco Cerundolo pick.

Tommy Paul vs Francisco Cerundolo Preview

Tommy Paul is back in another Queen’s Club final. The 29-year-old defeated unseeded Frenchman Ugo Humbert 6-3, 6-3 in the semifinals. The match lasted an hour and 19 minutes. In the victory, Paul hit 3 aces and did not commit a single double fault. Paul landed 60% of first serves in play and won 75% of first serve points (24/32). Paul won 52% of second serve points (11/21) and saved one of two break points in the match.

Before this round, Paul had recorded victories over Zachary Svajda, Botic van de Zandschulp and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina. He has done so without dropping a set all week. Paul improves to 30-11 for the season and is up to 24th in the live rankings.

Francisco Cerundolo will become the first Argentine to win the title at Queen’s Club if he triumphs on Sunday. He is the first man from his country to reach the final since 2012, when David Nalbandian was defaulted for kicking at the advertising board courtside and injuring a line judge.

Cerundolo reached the final at Queen’s with a three-set victory over Brandon Nakashima. Cerundolo lost the first set in a tiebreak, having served for the set at 6-5 up. But the Argentine made no mistake in the next two sets. He recovered from a break deficit in Set 2 and broke Nakashima at least twice in the decider to complete the comeback win.

This is Cerundolo’s first final above the ATP 250 level. He improves to 26-12 for the season. Before this round, he had beaten Aleksandar Kovacevic, Jenson Brooksby and Arthur Fery. Cerundolo has one title on grass, which he won in Eastbourne in 2023.

Tommy Paul vs Francisco Cerundolo Head-To-Head

Paul and Cerundolo have met 7 times. Cerundolo holds a 5-2 lead in the head-to-head. On grass, they have played three times and Cerundolo leads 2-1. Incidentally, they met at Queen’s in 2023, and Cerundolo beat Paul in three sets. And their only grass-court final before this was in Eastbourne that same season and Cerundolo took down Paul to lift the trophy.

Tommy Paul vs Francisco Cerundolo Prediction

Paul has been outstanding all week, but that does not guarantee him a free pass in the final, and certainly when you consider he’s lost two of three matches against Cerundolo on grass. Cerundolo is a far more dangerous player on faster surfaces than many realize. Paul won’t be surprised, though, and will know what to expect. The American has looked sharper in the small details throughout the week. He looks every bit the favorite in this final.
