Jakub Mensik Preview

Jakub Mensik can also aim for a slice of history on Sunday after the Czech reached his first Masters 1000 final of his young career. Djokovic can win his 100th career title, a rare feat in men’s tennis that only two players in history have achieved. So, that’s enough motivation to get Djokovic pumped up for the occasion. Mensik has an incredible serve that will certainly keep Djokovic at arm’s length and enable him to rack up many cheap points in the match, but his return doesn’t quite stack up to that of Djokovic. And even at 37, Djokovic’s movement remains top tier. I expect Mensik to put in a performance of his life, but Djokovic knows he is running out of chances to get that triple-digit number in career titles. I’m backing the former World No. 1 to win his 7th Miami title.
