Mirra Andreeva faces former champion Barbora Krejcikova in the second round of the 2026 Wimbledon Championships on Wednesday, July 1st. This is their second meeting on grass. Here’s our Mirra Andreeva vs Barbora Krejcikova prediction. This preview will include a Mirra Andreeva vs Barbora Krejcikova pick.

Mirra Andreeva vs Barbora Krejcikova Preview

Mirra Andreeva opened her 2026 Wimbledon account with a straight sets win over World No. 59 Magda Linette. The match took 22 games to decide. Andreeva prevailed 7-5, 6-4 in two tight sets in an hour and 43 minutes.

Andreeva hit 23 winners and 23 unforced errors in the victory. She tallied 8 aces and 7 double faults. Andreeva landed 67% of first serves in play and won 68% of first serve points (38/56). Andreeva won 44% of second serve points (12/27) and savd six of eight break points on her serve.

This is Andreeva’s fourth Wimbledon. She achieved a career-best run last year by making the quarterfinals before bowing out to Belinda Bencic. This is her first win since beating Maja Chwalinska to win her first Grand Slam at the 2026 French Open.

Barbora Krejcikova is unseeded at this year’s Wimbledon, but drew wild card Hannah Klugman in the first round. The Czech dispatched the Briton 6-1, 6-4 in an hour and 26 minutes of play to progress to the second round.

In the victory, Krejcikova hit 18 winners and 25 unforced errors. Krejcikova hit 1 ace and 3 double faults. She landed 66% of first serves in play and won 71% of first serve points (36/51). Krejcikova won 42% of second serve points (11/26) and saved an impressive 10 of 11 break points in the match.

Krejcikova approached the net 17 times and converted 11 chances. This is her first win since beating Magda Linette in the semifinals of the Libema Open. She withdrew from the final of that event and then lost her opening match in Eastbourne.

Mirra Andreeva vs Barbora Krejcikova Head-To-Head

Andreeva and Krejcikova have faced off four times. Andreeva leads 3-1. They have previously met at 2023 Wimbledon. Andreeva won via retirement while leading 6-3, 4-0. Their other Grand Slam match was at the 2024 Australian Open, where Krejcikova won in three sets.

Mirra Andreeva vs Barbora Krejcikova Prediction

Two Grand Slam champions are set to face off here and the odds are in favor of Mirra Andreeva and my instinct is to lean toward the Russian. I think at this stage, Andreeva is one of the players to beat at every major. Krejcikova is a grass-court expert and this is far from straightforward for Andreeva. That said, this match could turn into a test of sustained level and physicality and that’s where Andreeva should shine.

Nur Said's Pick: Andreeva in three sets
