Vekic will have the blueprint on how to attack in this match, which is to exploit Gauff’s forehand. It’s not the American’s strongest wing. The Croat can also put a lot of pressure by taking the ball early in her return games. Gauff’s second serve can be shaky and tends to cough up so many double faults. But will Vekic execute this game plan? Highly doubtful. Gauff’s defense will shine and in the longer rallies, there is a greater chance of Vekic making the error than the second seed. This will be a good test for Gauff, and she will get through unscathed.
