Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner meet in the men’s final of the 2025 Wimbledon Championships. The match is scheduled for Sunday, July 13. Here’s our Carlos Alcaraz vs Jannik Sinner prediction. This preview will also include a Carlos Alcaraz vs Jannik Sinner pick.

Carlos Alcaraz vs Jannik Sinner Preview
Carlos Alcaraz beat American Taylor Fritz in four sets to reach a third successive Wimbledon final. Alcaraz took the first set 6-4, breaking Fritz within three minutes of the start of the match, and consolidated throughout. Fritz held his serve for the whole of the second set, and broke Alcaraz in the 12th game to win the second set and level the match. Alcaraz raised his level in the third set, breaking Fritz twice to lead by two sets to one. After 12 successive holds in the fourth set, Fritz led the tiebreak 6-4 and had two set points. Alcaraz saved both and won the breaker 8-6.

Alcaraz hit 38 winners and 25 unforced errors in the match. He accounted for 13 aces and three double faults. He landed 65% of first serves in play and won 88% of first serve points (64/73). Alcaraz won 58% of second serve points (23/40) and saved one of two break points in the match. Alcaraz has won two of his six matches in straight sets. He has played once five-set match once during his run to the final, and that was in the opening round against Fabio Fognini. Alcaraz is going for a Wimbledon three-peat, which was last achieved by Djokovic, who won four in a row between 2018 and 2022.

Jannik Sinner overpowered an ailing Novak Djokovic in straight sets to reach his maiden Wimbledon final. Sinner, the top seed, beat the 24-time Grand Slam champion for a second successive time at the Majors this year, having defeated him at the French Open last month.
Sinner was electric from the first set, quickly racing to win the first two sets 6-3, 6-3. Djokovic was clearly not playing in optimal physical condition after his awkward fall towards the end of the quarterfinal match against Cobolli.

And Sinner used the physical limitation and age gap to his advantage with superior serving and efficient shotmaking. While Djokovic put in a fight in the third set to take a shock 3-0 lead, Sinner won six of the next seven games to round off the win, and now leads Djokovic 6-4 in the H2H. Sinner hit 36 winners and 17 unforced errors in the match. Sinner accounted for 12 aces and two double faults. He landed 74% of first serves in play and won 81% of first serve points (44/54). Sinner won 63% of second serve points (12/19) and saved one of two break points. Sinner will play in his fifth Grand Slam final. He has a 3-1 record in finals, with his only defeat coming to Alcaraz at this year’s French Open.

Carlos Alcaraz vs Jannik Sinner Head-To-Head
Alcaraz and Sinner have played 12 times. Alcaraz leads Sinner 8-4 in the head-to-head, having won their last five meetings. The Spaniard saved three match points to beat Sinner in a Roland Garros final for the ages last month. Sinner beat Alcaraz in their only grass-court meeting at 2022 Wimbledon.

Carlos Alcaraz vs Jannik Sinner Prediction
This Wimbledon final was bound to happen. It had to happen. Alcaraz and Sinner are the current two best players in the world and we are witnessing the defining era of this generation in motion right now. Alcaraz is the two-time defending champion at Wimbledon and is going for a rare three-peat. No Spanish man has done it before. But Sinner gets my vote here. Reaching another Grand Slam final immediately after that French Open heartbreak is testament to his resilience. He’s the last man to defeat Alcaraz at Wimbledon, and surface dynamics tilt the match in his favor. Alcaraz thrives on patterns and engaging in those cat-and-mouse rallies where he seamlessly wears down opponents with his stamina. Quicker points on grass will give Sinner a lot of free points.

Nur Said's Pick: Jannik Sinner in four sets
