Philadelphia Eagles Betting Preview
Philadelphia got off to an 8-2 start through 10 games last year, but then hit a three-game skid. The good news is that the team would eventually power out another NFC East championship, giving them a repeat title for the first time since 2004. The Eagles’ playoff run didn’t last long though, as they took a Wildcard Playoffs defeat by the San Francisco 49ers 23-19 to end their campaign.
In their 2026 preseason debut last Saturday versus the Baltimore Ravens, the Eagles were held to a cosmetic touchdown in the fourth quarter during a 24-7 road loss. QB Andy Dalton finished 3-of-6 for 20 yards, and Tanner McKee went 6-of-10 for 35 yards. Cole Payton added 4-of-9 for 37 yards and the score. Darius Cooper led the receivers on 21 yards off two catches.
New England Patriots Betting Preview
Over on the Patriots’ side, they had a stellar campaign themselves last year but were stopped just short of reaching the top of the mountain. After a 14-3 stretch in the regular season and another AFC East title (their first since 2019), New England beat the Chargers, Texans and Broncos on the way to the Super Bowl. In that championship game however, New England took a 29-13 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
In their first preseason appearance of the 2026 season, the Patriots took on the Indianapolis Colts. New England was up 13-7 by the end of the third quarter but eventually had to settle for a 13-13 tie. QB Tommy DeVito finished with a 13-of-22 line for 138 yards and a TD, while Kobe Prentice had three catches for 40 yards. Jamarion Miller led the rush on 14 totes for 55 yards.

Eagles vs Patriots Prediction
I’ll stay with New England, but anything can happen in preseason. In their matchup with Indy last week, the Pats weren’t exactly explosive on offense, notching just 16 first downs and a 5-of-18 success rate on third downs. The defense gave up 355 yards and 21 first downs on the other side, however they also bagged four takeaways and a 1-of-8 rate on third downs. There are things to sharpen up on both sides, but also plenty to build upon.
As for the Eagles, they didn’t look very good versus the Ravens. Philly gave up 440 yards (298 passing) on defense alongside 31 first downs and 5.8 yards per play. The offense couldn’t stay on the field (18:43 in time of possession), mustering just 159 yards (83 passing), six first downs and an ugly 0-of-9 on third-down tries. The 10 penalties for 96 yards didn’t help either. Philadelphia has a lot of work to do.
