Those who have followed me over the years know my handicapping in preseason is all about the quarterback position. The rest of the positions are toss-ups, and you have no idea who is going to play nd for how long. The one constant thing is decent quarterback play and the guys who can put points on the board.
The Dolphins starters looked good in their opener, but the defense is in rough shape, and there are zero options at backup quarterback. Miller and Ewers were terrible. Maybe the addition of Mark Gronowski helps, but I doubt it. The Giants have an experienced option in Winston, and Allen has had flashes throughout his career. Once Willis goes out, I have no confidence in the Dolphins offense. I’m going to lay the small number with the Giants.
