Giants vs Eagles Prediction

I’ll lean toward the Giants. New York is coming off a gritty overtime road win versus Houston, amassing 420 total yards and 22 first downs along the way. The defense gave up just 237 yards and 15 first downs on the other side, holding the Texans to just 3-of-12 on third-down tries. It’s hard not to jump on the Giants bandwagon right now; they’re scoring well these days and they’ve got a few winnable games in the immediate future. That all starts with this one.

As for Philadelphia, they didn’t look great last weekend versus Washington, posting just 268 total yards, 5-of-15 on third downs and two turnovers. The Eagles gave up 339 yards on the other side but the offense didn’t do them any favors either. After winning their first pair, Philly is on a six-game skid. They’ve given up 25 or more points in three straight as well. Scoring-wise, the Eagles haven’t gotten past 24 points in any game this season—and they did that in the first pair.

New York Giants Betting Preview

The Giants have been a mild surprise in the early-going this season. New York went 3-1 in their first four games, falling to only the LA Rams amid wins over the Cowboys, Titans and Cardinals otherwise. The Giants would then tie with Washington 27-27 before another loss to New Orleans. Following a win over the Texans (and a bye week), the Giants are 4-2-1 overall.

In the Houston matchup back on October 25, the Giants managed a couple of touchdowns in the first half, going into the break with a 14-14 tie. New York bagged a fourth-quarter touchdown but ended up having to go to overtime to finish off a 27-21 victory. QB JJ McCarthy was 20-of-28 for 252 yards, and Cam Skattebo had 17 carries for 124 yards and a TD. Malik Nabers caught seven balls for 111 yards as the lead receiver.

Philadelphia Eagles Betting Preview

Over on the Eagles’ side, they opened up the year with a couple of wins but they’ve hit the skids since then. Philly beat Washington and Tennessee in their first pair, then lost to Chicago and the LA Rams in the next two. The skid continued with losses to the Jaguars, Panthers and Cowboys. Over the first seven games of the year, Philly ended up with a 2-5 record in the books.

Matched up against Washington last weekend the Eagles were able to build up a 10-point lead in the first quarter but then gave up a few scores before halftime and a 13-10 deficit. In the second, Philadelphia continued their struggles and stayed off the scoreboard. The result was a 27-10 loss. QB Tanner McKee was 23-of-34 for 212 yards and a pick. Makai Lemon caught six balls for 57 yards and Elijah Mitchell had 11 carries for 34 yards in the defeat.
