Cardinals vs Seahawks Prediction

Arizona comes into this matchup after a crazy win over Dallas and they have won two of their last three games. The Cardinals are 3-2 on the road, while the Seahawks are 3-2 at home. Seattle has lost three of their last four games and they have scored 20 points or fewer in three straight. The Seahawks will be going with Drew Lock at quarterback, which isn’t great news for an already struggling offense. Take the points with Arizona on the road.

Arizona Cardinals Betting Preview

The Arizona Cardinals are 3-5 this season after they defeated the Cowboys in overtime by a score of 33-30 last week. Arizona trailed 14-3 at halftime and 27-17 in the fourth quarter, but they managed to force overtime and steal the win. The Cardinals out gained Dallas by a total of 467-261, went 8-18 on third downs, and lost the turnover battle by a total of 2-0 in the game. Gardner Minshew II has been named the starting quarterback and Jacoby Brissett has been traded. Trey McBride has caught 66 passes for 544 yards and five touchdowns, while Tyler Allgeier has rushed 72 times for 323 yards and two scores this season.

Seattle Seahawks Betting Preview

The Seattle Seahawks are 4-4 this year after they lost to the Bears by a score of 34-17 in their last game. Seattle trailed 13-9 at halftime and 20-17 in the fourth quarter, but they allowed the last 14 points for the loss. The Seahawks were out gained by a total of 363-252, went 1-11 on third downs, and tied the turnover battle at one in the game. Sam Darnold threw for 188 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception, while JSN caught six passes for 118 yards and one score. Jadarian Price rushed 10 times for 29 yards in the loss.

Prior to that game, Seattle defeated the Chiefs by a score of 20-3, but lost to the Broncos by a score of 17-14 before that. The Seahawks have scored 23.1 points per game with 222.3 passing yards and 109.6 rushing yards per game, while they have allowed 19.9 points against per game this season. Sam Darnold is injured, so we are expected to see Drew Lock at the QB spot. Emanuel Wilson is the leading rusher, but he is now third on the depth chart, while JSN has caught 64 passes for 985 yards and nine scores this year.

Positive Trends

When looking at the trends, I am comfortable taking the Cardinals here. The road team has covered the spread in seven of Arizona’s last eight game. Seattle is just 1-5 against the spread in their last six games and they have not played well in the first quarter following a home loss. The Seahawks also really struggle getting stops on fourth down, which could be a factor if Arizona stays aggressive. Take the Cardinals and the points in this one.

David Racey's Pick: Cardinals +8.5
