Two games ago against the Tennessee Titans, the Colts won 20-17 and in the last game against the Miami Dolphins, they won 16-10. In the last game against the Dolphins, the defense was good giving up only 10 points, and even though the offense scored 16 points it wasn’t enough. Anthony Richardson completed 10 of his 24 passes for 129 yards. He finished with 14 carries for 56 yards. Running back Jonathan Taylor didn’t play in the game with an ankle injury and it’s unclear if he’s going to be able to go in this game. 

The Colts on the season are averaging 22.1 points while their defense is giving up 21.3 points per game. The offense is ranked 18th in the league while the defense is ranked 12th. In this game, the offense is going to need to find a way to get the offense going more. 16 points isn’t going to be enough to get the job done.

Texans Fell Just Short

The Texans in the last game faced off against the Green Bay Packers and they fell just short.  The Texans scored 22 points against the Green Bay Packers but it wasn’t enough as they gave up a late field goal and ended up losing 24-22. Quarterback CJ Stroud just wasn’t good enough as he completed 10 of his 21 passes for 86 yards. The Texans are going to need Stroud to be a whole lot better. Running back Joe Mixon did have a strong game finishing with 25 carries for 115 yards and two touchdowns. 

The Texans are averaging 23.6 points while their defense is giving up 22.7 points per game. The offense is ranked 14th in the league while the defense is ranked 37th in the league. The Texans need a better game from Stroud here. Robert Woods is dealing with a foot injury and it’s unclear if he’s going to be able to go in this game. 

Indianapolis Colts vs Houston Texans Prediction

It might not be a popular play, but the Colts are going to find a way to keep this game close. I am discouraged by the Stroud played in the last game, and the Colts’ defense is going to step up in a big way here. The Colts might not get a great game from Anthony Richardson again, but it’s going to be their defense that is going to be the difference. It’s a lean to the under to cash, but the official play in this game is with the Colts to cover the spread.
