New York Jets Betting Preview
The Jets got off to a decent start this year. After an opener loss to the 49ers 32-19, New York beat the Titans 24-17 and the Patriots 24-3. The next two games were both losses however, as the Jets fell to the Broncos 10-9 and the Vikings 23-17 to drop to 2-3 overall.
In their Monday night game versus the rival Buffalo Bills, New York tied the game on a Hail Mary pass heading into the second half but couldn’t cash in on much from there in a 23-20 loss. QB Aaron Rodgers finished with 296 yards, a late interception (which wasn’t really his fault), and a pair of TDs. Allen Lazard caught one score, leading the receivers on six catches for 114 yards.
Pittsburgh Steelers Betting Preview
Over on the Steelers’ side, they kicked off the year at 3-0 with wins over the Falcons 18-10, the Broncos 13-6 and the Chargers 20-10. Pittsburgh would lose their next two games however, falling to the Colts 27-24 and the Cowboys 20-17.
Pittsburgh was able to get back into the win column versus the Las Vegas Raiders in their last outing. The Steelers scored in every quarter on the way to a 32-13 blowout result. QB Justin Fields threw for 145 yards and had two rush scores. Najee Harris ran for 106 yards and a TD of his own.

New York Jets vs Pittsburgh Steelers Prediction
I’m going with the Steelers. Pittsburgh made short work of the Raiders in their last game despite a fairly inefficient offensive outing. The Steelers notched 293 total yards (183 rushing) with 4.7 yards per play and a spotty 4-of-13 on third-down tries. The defense was great, however, posting three takeaways, 16 first downs, and a 2-of-11 rate on third-down conversions.
As for the Jets, on Monday they played an incredibly sloppy game (22 combined penalties) with plenty of missed opportunities. The good news is that New York moved the ball well for most of the game. That said, they went just 4-of-12 on third-down tries, had two missed field goals, and couldn’t find the end zone in the second half. The Jets will face another tough opponent this weekend and I don’t think they’ll stay close enough to cover.
