In their Week 1 matchup the Eagles played the Green Bay Packers. Philadelphia gave up points in every quarter but had enough offense to power out the win 34-29. QB Jalen Hurts bagged 278 yards, two TDs and two picks. Saquon Barkley had 109 yards and a pair of scores on 24 rushes.

In Monday’s matchup versus the Atlanta Falcons, the Eagles held a late lead but then were stunned by some late-game Falcons heroics. Philadelphia ended up falling 22-21. Hurts threw for 183 yards, one TD, and a late pick while also notching 13 carries, 85 yards, and a rush score. Barkley had 22 carries for 95 yards this time.

Derek Carr threw for 200 yards and three scores, while Alvin Kamara led the rush on 83 yards and a TD off 15 carries.

In their Week 2 showdown with the Dallas Cowboys, the Saints excelled. Following a 35-16 edge at halftime, New Orleans would cruise to the win 44-19. Carr finished with 243 yards, two TDs and a score. Kamara had another great outing on 20 carries for 115 yards and a TD.

Philadelphia Eagles vs New Orleans Saints Prediction

I’m going to stay with the Saints. New Orleans played great on both sides of the ball this past weekend, cruising to 432 total yards (190 rushing), 7.7 yards per play, and a nice 5-of-8 effort on third downs. If there was a blemish it was a fairly hefty 285 pass yards allowed, but the defense made up for it with two interceptions.

As for Philly, on Monday they were able to get back into the lead later on but ended up falling. Philadelphia had nine penalties for 53 yards and gave up 385 yards (233 passing) on defense. All things considered, I like the Saints to keep rolling with a cover/win in Week 3.
