In this article, we will formulate a Miami Dolphins vs Seattle Seahawks prediction for this NFL game on Sunday, September 22nd at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this Week 3 matchup.

Miami Dolphins Betting Preview

The Miami Dolphins are 1-1 this year after they lost to Buffalo by a score of 31-10 in their last game. Miami tied the game at seven in the first quarter, but they allowed the next 17 points for the loss. Tua was injured in this game and will miss some time, so the Dolphins had to play Skylar Thompson. The Dolphins outgained Buffalo by a total of 351-247, lost the turnover battle 3-0, and went 7-15 on third down in the game. Tua threw three interceptions, while Thompson threw for 80 yards on eight completions.

Miami defeated Jacksonville by a score of 20-17 in week one, but having to start the backup quarterback is less than ideal. The Miami offense has scored 15 points per game with 265.5 passing yards and 110 rushing yards per game, while the defense has allowed 24 points per game this year. The Dolphins have gone 48.4% on third down and 1-7 on fourth down through two games. Skylar Thompson has completed 57.1% of his passes for 80 yards, while Tyreek Hill has caught 10 passes for 154 yards and one score.

Seattle Seahawks Betting Preview

The Seattle Seahawks are 2-0 this season after they defeated New England by a score of 23-20 last week. Seattle trailed 20-17 late in the fourth quarter, but they got the ball back and hit a field goal with 55 seconds left to force overtime. In the extra period, the Seahawks were able to get a stop and kick a field goal for the win. The Seahawks outgained NE by a total of 358-310, didn’t turn the ball over, and went 7-15 on third down in the game. Geno Smith threw for 327 yards and one touchdown, while DK Metcalf caught 10 passes for 129 yards and one score.

Seattle defeated Denver by a score of 26-20 in week one, and they will look to make it three wins in a row here. The Seattle offense has scored 24.5 points per game with 235 passing yards and 96 rushing yards per game, while the defense has allowed 20 points per game this season. The Seahawks have gone 40.7% on third down and 1-2 on fourth down so far this season. Miami Dolphins vs Seattle Seahawks Prediction

Miami comes into this game after getting blown out at home by Buffalo last week, and they will have their backup quarterback under center. The Dolphins will try to maintain one of the best passing attacks in the NFL, but they are definitely going to take a step back. Seattle was fortunate to escape New England with a win last week and they have the benefit of Miami’s quarterback situation, so they have a great chance to get to 3-0. Miami knows they can’t get into a high-scoring game without Tua, so they are going to try and control possession by running the ball. I think we are going to see a lower-scoring game, so I am taking the under here.
