Bengals Offense Looks to Bounce Back

The Bengals have lost the first two preseason games and in the last preseason game, it was some offensive issues. In the first game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, they were defeated 17-14 and in the last game against the Chicago Bears, they were defeated 27-3. Jake Browning is dealing with a rib injury, which means Logan Woodside played a lot in the last game. Woodside completed 17 of his 25 passes for 132 yards, zero touchdowns, and two interceptions. The running game also didn’t have a lot of success, and the top rusher was Noah Cain, and he finished with eight carries for 28 yards. In this game, the Bengals will need to get the offense out to a fast start. If the offense doesn’t get the scoring early, this is going to be another long game.

Colts Look to Build on Last Game

The Colts lost the first preseason game, but in the last game they looked a lot better. The Colts faced off against the Arizona Cardinals, and they were able to secure the 21-13 victory. The Colts had three different players that played under center, and the quarterback play was really good. Kedon Slovis completed 8 of his 11 passes for 79 yards, zero touchdowns and zero interceptions. Jason Bean looks like he could be a practice squad player, and he completed 7 of his 9 passes for 94 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception. He also rushed four times for 14 yards and a touchdown. Zavier Scott had 11 carries for 55 yards and a touchdown.

Indianapolis Colts vs Cincinnati Bengals Prediction

The Colts are going to have no issue getting the job done in this game. I really trust the quarterback play in this game for the Colts. Slovis and Bean are both going to have strong games, and that is going to be the difference here. The Bengals’ offense is going to really struggle to get going, and the Colts are going to get the job done. Back the Colts against the spread here.

Shane Mickle's Pick: Colts -6.5
