The Green Bay Packers kicked off their preseason with a 23-10 win over the Cleveland Browns in their opener. After this game, The Packers will head home to welcome the Baltimore Ravens to town for their preseason finale.
Offense Clicks For Packers In Opener
Sean Clifford threw for 111 yards on 10 of 19 passing while Jordan Love threw for 63 yards and a touchdown with a pair of completions. Michael Pratt also threw for 46 yards on 5 of 7 passing. Emanuel Wilson led the Packers’ ground attack with 67 rushing yards and a TD on 13 carries while Jarveon Howard added 44 rushing yards as well. Grant DuBose led the Pack with 5 receptions for 66 yards while Dontayvion Wicks’ lone reception went 65 yards for a touchdown. On defense, Evan Eilliams, Kristian Welch and Ralen Goforth each had a team-high 6 total tackles while Lukas Van Ness, Colby Wooden and Spencer Waege each had a sack for Green Bay in the winning effort.

The Denver Broncos kicked off their preseason by edging out the Colts in a 34-30 thriller. Following this matchup, the Broncos will welcome the Arizona Cardinals to Mile High to close out their preseason schedule.
Broncos Position Battles Heat Up With Strong Showing In Opener
Bo Nix threw for 125 yards and a touchdown on 15 of 21 passing while Zach Wilson threw for 117 yards on 10 of 13 passing. Audric Estime led the Broncos’ ground game with 31 rushing yards and a touchdown while Jaleel McLaughlin had 30 rushing yards and Blake Watson added 26 rushing yards with a TD. Tyler Badie chipped in a rushing TD as well in the win. Courtland Sutton led the Broncos’ receivers with a pair of grabs for 35 yards while Watson’s lone reception went for 33 yards and Lucas Krull had a team-high 4 receptions for 31 yards. Marvin Mims Jr. recorded Denver’s lone receiving touchdown in the win. On defense, Alex Singleton and Levelle Bailey shared Denver’s team-high with 4 total tackles while Jonah Elliss and Dondrea Tillman each had a sack and Keidron Smith added an interception as well in the winning effort.
Packers vs. Broncos Prediction
I’m on the Broncos here. I think it will be interesting to see how the Packers handle the rest situation for the starters here, but I think there are so many battles for playing time going on within Denver’s ranks, including the battle for QB1, that there really won’t be any days off for the Broncos. I think we see another strong output from a Broncos team where everyone’s at their best to put in a claim for playing time and in the end, at home, I think that’s the difference. Give me Denver here.
