Karl-Anthony Towns led the team with 31 points, eight rebounds and two blocks, Jalen Brunson added 30 points with seven rebounds and nine assists, OG Anunoby scored 22 points while Mikal Bridges chipped in with 20 points, seven rebounds and three assists. As a team, the Knicks shot 46 percent from the field and 12 of 32 from the 3-point line as they hit the ground running with 66 points in the first half to take a 14-point lead. This proved to be just enough in the end, as the Pistons cut the lead to just one point with 1.1 seconds left on the clock. Josh Hart had a quiet game of just six points but added 11 points with nine assists, but the Knicks’ bench combined for just nine points.

As a team, the Pistons shot 45 percent from the field and 16 of 37 from the 3-point line as they struggled to contain the Knicks’ starters from the start. They leaked 66 points in the first half to trail by double digits for most of the contest, until the fourth quarter, where they rallied to get within just one point before the clock expired. Malik Beasley had a quiet game as he shot just four of 14 from the field and two of 10 from the 3-point line. The usually reliable Tobias Harris finished with just five points on two of nine shooting in 32 minutes of action.

It is tough for any team to come back from a 3-1 series deficit, so the pressure is really on the Pistons to defend their home court and grind out an important win. The Knicks were good enough to get the job done in Game 3, but the Pistons will take plenty of confidence from the fact that they could easily be up 2-1 in the series right now. The Knicks were a little lucky to reclaim the series lead in their last game, but the Pistons are right in this contest. I still think we are headed for a Game 7 finish, so I will stick with the Pistons at home in a close one.
