As a team, the Knicks shot 45 percent from the field and a sizzling 22 of 48 from the 3-point line as they struggled to get going and trailed in this one by as many as 19 points, before they chipped away and caught fire with 43 points in the fourth quarter to pull off the impressive comeback win on the road.

Meanwhile, the Philadelphia 76ers have hit the ground running with four wins from their five five outings and they will be eager to stay hot after taking down the Pacers in a 114-109 road victory on Wednesday. Tyrese Maxey led the team with 27 points, Jaylen Brown and Anfernee Simons each scored 20 points, Joel Embiid tallied 21 points with 11 rebounds while LeBron James chipped in with 13 points and 10 assists. As a team, the 76ers shot 46 percent from the field and 13 of 36 from the 3-point line as they squandered an early 15-point lead to trail by 13 points, before they rallied with a 39-21 fourth quarter to secure the gritty road win.

The Knicks have ruled out Jose Alverado again, while the 76ers have ruled out Jabari Walker with Jaylen Brown listed as questionable with knee soreness. The Knicks haven’t been playing anywhere near their best lately, but you just know they will be up for this matchup as they visit the revamped 76ers who have already emerged as one of the hottest teams in the league. This is definitely a game where you want to check the lineups before tipoff given the injury cloud hanging over the 76ers’ Brown, but I still like the 76ers as the home underdog regardless. These teams last met on opening night and it was the 76ers who won by 106-100 behind their defense and a big scoring night from Tyrese Maxey and I think we’re about to see a similar result here. I’m still not sold on the Knicks who could’ve easily lost to the Bulls in their last game.
