Oklahoma City Thunder (68-14) vs Indiana Pacers (50-32)
June 5, 2025 at 08:30 PM EDT
The Line: Betting Odds: Oklahoma City Thunder -9.5 — Over/Under: 231
The 2025 NBA Finals tip off on Thursday, June 5, featuring the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Indiana Pacers in Game 1 at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City. The Thunder, boasting the league’s best regular-season record at 68–14, secured their Finals berth by defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves 4–1 in the Western Conference Finals. The Pacers, with a 50–32 regular-season record, advanced after a 4–2 series win over the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference Finals.
This Finals matchup presents a contrast in styles, the Thunder’s elite defense and star power versus the Pacers’ high-paced offense and cohesive team play. The Thunder enter Game 1 as 9.5-point favorites, with the over/under set at 230.5 points. While Oklahoma City is favored, Indiana’s disciplined play and tactical approach under coach Rick Carlisle suggest they could challenge the Thunder’s dominance.

Pascal Siakam Over 19.5 Points
Siakam averaged 20.2 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game while shooting 51.9% from the field and a strong 38.9% from three-point range. He logged 32.7 minutes per game and was a reliable contributor on both ends of the floor. In the playoffs, Siakam elevated his game, posting an average of 21.1 points per game. Siakam had 3 30-point games in the Pacers series against the Knicks. If the Pacers want any chance in this series, Siakam will need to step up in a big way.
Jalen Williams Over 22.5 Points
Williams averaged a career-high 21.6 points per game, along with 5.3 rebounds and 5.1 assists over 69 games. He maintained a field goal percentage of 48.4% and a three-point shooting percentage of 36.5%, showcasing his efficiency and scoring versatility. Williams’ playoff numbers have been up & down, but we still saw him have a few stand out games. I expect this to be a fast paced high scoring series which will suit Williams’ game perfectly. Also with all the attention SGA gets, it’ll open things up for guys like Williams to get quality looks.
Myles Turner Under 5.5 Rebounds
In the regular season, Turner averaged 6.5 rebounds per game over 72 appearances, playing approximately 30.2 minutes per game. His rebounding was evenly split between offensive and defensive efforts, with 1.3 offensive rebounds and 5.3 defensive rebounds per game. We did see a decline in his rebounding numbers during the postseason, where he’s only averaged 4.9 rebounds per game. Turner failed to collect 6+ rebounds in every game during the Eastern Conference championship series. I’m surprised that oddsmakers still have his line set this high.
