Denver Nuggets Betting Preview
The Denver Nuggets have been in fine form as they've won four of their last six games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight win after outlasting the Suns in a 149-141 overtime home win on Friday. Nikola Jokic led the team with a historic triple-double of 31 points with 21 rebounds and 22 assists, Aaron Gordon added 27 points, Christian Braun scored 25 points on eight of 11 shooting while Jamal Murray chipped in with 19 points and eight assists. As a team, the Nuggets shot a sizzling 58 percent from the field and 21 of 40 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in trouble when they wasted an early 21-point lead. However, they made up for it in the overtime period where they opened with a pivotal 7-0 run to escape with a solid win at home.
Oklahoma City Thunder Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder have been on a tear as they've won eight of their last nine games. They will be eager to build on their current six-game win streak after making light work of the Trail Blazers in a 107-89 home win on Friday. Aaron Wiggins led the team with 30 points on 13 of 26 shooting, Alex Caruso added 17 points off the bench and Jaylin Williams chipped in with a triple-double of 10 points with 11 rebounds and 11 assists. As a team, the Thunder shot 46 percent from the field and 14 of 38 from the 3-point line as they stormed out of the gates to take an 18-point lead into halftime. Before they played excellent defense to limit the Trail Blazers to just 16 points in the fourth quarter to make it a blowout without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who was rested for this game.
Why the Oklahoma City Thunder will win
- The Thunder have won each of their last 14 games as favorites against opponents who are on the first leg of a back-to-back.
- The Nuggets have lost seven of their last eight games as underdogs following an overtime win.
- The Nuggets have failed to cover the spread in eight of their last 10 games on the first leg of a back-to-back.
- The Thunder have covered the spread in four of their last five games.
Why the Denver Nuggets will win

- The Thunder have lost four of their last five home games against Nuggets teams that held a winning record.
- The Nuggets have covered the spread in 11 of their last 12 games as underdogs against the Thunder.

- The Thunder rank 1st in the league for turnovers per game this season (11.9).
- The Nuggets rank 1st in the league for field goal percentage this season (50.8%).

Denver Nuggets vs Oklahoma City Thunder Prediction
The Nuggets will be slightly shorthanded once again with Julian Strawther still out, while the Thunder expect to have a full squad in this one with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander returning after being tested on Friday. These teams have already met twice this season with the series currently split at 1-1, and we look set for another great contest as both teams have continued to pile on the wins. The Thunder expectedly open as favorites at home, but I just feel that the Nuggets are being slightly disrespected. With that being said, I still have the Thunder getting the win at home, but I like the Nuggets to make this a real contest and keep this within a couple of possessions.
