The Utah Jazz have been in terrible shape as they’ve lost 12 of their last 15 games overall, but they will be eager to build some momentum after outlasting the Pistons in a 126-119 road win on Thursday. Collin Sexton led the team with 30 points and seven assists, Keyonte George added 28 points while Lauri Markkanen chipped in with 27 points and 14 rebounds. As a team, the Jazz shot 47 percent from the field and 20 of 40 from the 3-point line as they caught fire early and exploded for 48 points in the first quarter to take an early 29-point lead which proved to be just enough as the Pistons cut the lead to just five points with 1:45 left on the clock. 

Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Nets have been in a rut of their own as they’ve lost six of their last eight games, but they will be looking to stay hot after snapping a three-game skid with a 101-94 road win over the Raptors on Thursday. Cameron Johnson led the team with 33 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists, Ben Simmons added 12 points with seven assists while Shake Milton chipped in with 12 points off the bench. As a team, the Nets shot just 40 percent from the field and nine of 39 from the 3-point line as they fell behind by 10 points in the third quarter, before they dominated the fourth quarter by 31-18 to come away with the much-needed victory. Jalen Wilson had a night to forget as he shot just one of 11 from the field and zero of seven from the 3-point line to finish with just six points. The Nets will meet the Heat after this game.
