The Spurs are coming off a big upset win against the Thunder on Tuesday. Chris Paul recorded 11 assists in that game. We’ve seen Paul have at least 10 assists in 5 of his last 6 games. He should have another big night on Thursday facilitating the ball going against the Jazz. The Jazz are giving up an average of 27.6 assists per game to opposing teams which is the 5th in the league.

Lauri Markkanen Over 19.5 Points

Lauri Markkanen has been performing well so far this season, averaging 18.0 points per game. He is shooting 44.8% from the field, with 2.6 three-pointers per game at a solid 44.6% shooting from beyond the arc. Additionally, he’s hitting 84.5% of his free throws, contributing to a strong offensive presence. After returning from injury we saw Markkanen have a slow start scoring the ball. He failed to get over 20 points in his first 4 games back. Over his last 3 games, we’ve seen him improve scoring 25 points in 2 of his last 3. If the Jazz want to get back to the winning side of things Lauri will need to be their main scorer. I expect him to have another good game against the Spurs and carry that momentum throughout this season.

Victor Wembanyama Over 2.5 Three Pointers

Victor Wembanyama is shooting 33.9% from beyond the arc. He has attempted 112 three-pointers, making 38 of them. His shooting percentage from three-point range is a bit lower than league averages, but he continues to show growth in this aspect of his game.

Victor Wembanyama is projected to return after missing two games with an injury. Before getting injured we saw him have some massive games from beyond the arc. He had back-to-back games where he made 6 three-pointers, an 8 three-point game against the Wizards, and in his last game, he had 4 three-pointers. It looks like as Wembanyama’s career progresses with the Spurs they are giving him more trust to shoot the deep ball. I still think there’s a lot of value with his line only being at 2.5 in this game.
