The New York Yankees and San Francisco Giants meet Wednesday in MLB action at Oracle Park. Here’s a New York Yankees vs. San Francisco Giants Prediction. This article will include a New York Yankees vs. San Francisco Giants Pick.
New York Yankees Betting Preview
The New York Yankees have won 94 games in back-to-back seasons and are a title contender yet again, right behind the Dodgers. For the most part the Yankees are the same team they were a year ago, with Aaron Judge, Cody Bellinger, Jazz Chisholm Jr., etc., leading the way offensively. The rotation is headlined by Max Fried, while the bullpen will be locked down at the back end by David Bednar, Camilo Doval, and Fernando Cruz. The make-or-break part of the season will be the eventual returns of Gerrit Cole and Carlos Rodon. If those guys return to form and can join Fried and Cam Schlittler, forming a super starting rotation, the Yankees can like their chances a lot more to end the World Series drought. Regardless, the offense has elite talent at the top and there’s pitching depth. It’s about staying healthy and striking out less.
Max Fried gets the ball for the New York Yankees, and he was 19-5 with a 2.86 ERA and 189 strikeouts last season. Fried is 4-1 with a 2.68 ERA and 45 strikeouts in his career against the San Francisco Giants.
San Francisco Giants Betting Preview
The San Francisco Giants won 81 games last year and haven’t made the playoffs since the 2021 season. Tony Vitello takes over as manager, while the lineup has two new faces in Luis Arraez and Harrison Bader. The starting rotation added Tyler Mahle and Adrian Houser. Arraez and Bader will help the lineup cut down on swing and misses and also improve the defense. The rotation has one of the best 1-2 punches in the sport with Logan Webb and Robbie Ray. There’s potential with this Giants team. The problems are there are questions with the rest of the rotation and the offense can be suppressed in that big park. Matt Chapman and Rafael Devers have to play like all-star caliber players to really get things going. There’s also playing in the competitive NL West, which doesn’t help. The margin for error with this group is thin.
Logan Webb gets the ball for the San Francisco Giants, and he was 15-11 with a 3.22 ERA and 224 strikeouts last season. Webb is 1-2 with a 5.50 ERA and 23 strikeouts in his career against the New York Yankees.

New York Yankees vs San Francisco Giants Prediction
The Yankees are going to be favored for obvious reasons, as they’re the more talented team from an offensive perspective and Fried is coming off a hell of a season. However, we’ve been backing Webb at Oracle for a couple of years now and it’s worked. In 90 games at Oracle, Webb has a 2.84 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 522 strikeouts. Last year in 116 home innings, Webb allowed a 3.10 ERA and a .264 batting average and had 126 strikeouts. You’re not going to get Webb as a home dog often the rest of the way and oddsmakers are showing respect, making this line short. Give me the Giants on opening day.
