The Milwaukee Brewers and the Tampa Bay Rays will meet Monday night in Game 3 of the World Series at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. Let’s take a look at this matchup from a betting perspective.

Milwaukee Brewers Betting Preview

The Milwaukee Brewers enter Monday night’s contest after winning 103 games during the regular season and capturing the National League Central division title. Milwaukee has leaned on quality pitching and timely hitting throughout its postseason run.

The Brewers have played quality baseball recently, winning the team’s last six postseason games, including a 6-4 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers ten days ago.

The Brewers will turn to left hander Robert Gasser in this contest. In 20 starts made this season, Gasser compiled a 5-5 win-loss record, a 3.87 ERA, a 1.19 WHIP and 103 strikeouts in 109.1 innings pitched. While Robert Gasser’s regular season numbers are solid, his recent form has been exceptional. Let me be more specific. In his last five starts made, Gasser has posted a 1.67 ERA while allowing only five earned runs across 27 innings pitched.

Shifting our attention to the Milwaukee offense, the Brewers lineup features catcher William Contreras and second baseman Brice Turang. Contreras enters this contest with a .270 batting average, 18 home runs, 27 doubles, 59 walks, 94 RBIs and a .758 OPS. Brice Turang has amassed a .268 batting average, 21 home runs, 100 RBIs (9th in MLB) and an .816 OPS.

Tampa Bay Rays Betting Preview

The Tampa Bay Rays enter Monday’s contest with a 98-64 overall record (1st in the American League East) and a 43-38 mark on the road. Tampa Bay arrives at tomorrow’s contest in below average form, losing the team’s last two postseason games, including a 3-2 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers two days ago.

The Rays will hand the baseball to right hander Freddy Peralta. In 32 starts made during the 2026 regular season, Peralta compiled a 10-11 win-loss record, a 4.42 ERA, a 1.33 WHIP and 156 strikeouts in 169 innings pitched. Peralta finished the regular season pitching his best baseball of 2026. In September, Peralta posted a microscopic 0.96 ERA while allowing only three earned runs in 28 innings pitched. He has also been outstanding this postseason, recording a 1.08 ERA in 16.2 playoff innings.

The Rays lineup features Junior Caminero and Chandler Simpson. Junior Caminero has compiled 42 home runs, 101 RBIs and an .885 OPS. Chandler Simpson has amassed a .306 batting average, 46 stolen bases and a .689 OPS.

Why the Tampa Bay Rays will win.

• Starting pitching. In 32 starts made during the 2026 regular season, Freddy Peralta compiled a 10-11 win-loss record, a 4.42 ERA, a 1.33 WHIP and 156 strikeouts in 169 innings pitched.

• Enhanced motivation. The Tampa Bay Rays arrive at this contest on the heels of a two-game losing streak.

Why the Milwaukee Brewers will win.

• Starting pitching. In 20 starts made this season, Robert Gasser compiled a 5-5 win-loss record, a 3.87 ERA, a 1.19 WHIP and 103 strikeouts in 109.1 innings pitched.

• Recent form. The Brewers have won the team’s last six postseason games.

Tampa Bay Rays vs. Milwaukee Brewers Prediction

In my view, this matchup favors the Tampa Bay Rays. Why? Tampa Bay starting pitcher Freddy Peralta has pitched exceptionally well in 2026, compiling a 10-11 win-loss record, a 4.42 ERA, a 1.33 WHIP and 156 strikeouts in 169 innings pitched. Additionally, Freddy Peralta has been far more effective at home relative to on the road this season. At Tropicana Field, Peralta posted a 3.53 ERA compared to a 5.42 ERA away from home. The Rays have played elite baseball at home as well, amassing a 55-26 win-loss record at Tropicana Field. For the reasons just noted, I am backing the Tampa Bay Rays on the moneyline in this game.

Hans Geevers's Pick: Tampa Bay Rays ML
