St. Louis Cardinals vs Pittsburgh Pirates Prediction
I might try the Cardinals here. Perez is struggling mightily over his last couple of starts. In that pair Perez is 0-1 with 11 earned runs in 8.1 innings of work total on 16 hits and five walks. It’s worth noting that Perez posted 7.1 innings with just one earned the last time he faced the Cards on July 4, though.
On Tuesday the Cardinals were able to break through and get the eventual winning run in the top of the ninth despite bagging just four team hits the whole way. St. Louis should have a better time with the bats Wednesday, but they used a lot of arms out of the bullpen in game two.
