The Cleveland Guardians and the Detroit Tigers meet Tuesday in MLB action from Comerica Park. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Cleveland Guardians vs Detroit Tigers Prediction.
Starting Pitching Matchup
The Cleveland Guardians will send out Ben Lively for the start here and Lively is 8-4 with a 3.14 ERA and 67 strikeouts this season. This will be Lively’s first career start against Detroit. Kenta Maeda will start for Detroit here and is 2-5 with a 6.71 ERA and 48 strikeouts this season. In his last five starts against Cleveland, Maeda is 1-1 with a 7.61 ERA and 20 strikeouts.
Cleveland Guardians Recap
The Cleveland Guardians come into this one looking to bounce back after starting the series on the wrong foot after ending up with a 1-0 loss on Monday. The loss wasn’t the ideal start to the set for the Guardians after series wins over the Giants and White Sox over the last week.

Jose Ramirez leads the Guardians with 93 hits as well as 23 home runs and 76 RBIs while Josh Naylor also has 21 home runs and 66 RBIs of his own. Ramirez has a team-high 18 doubles while Tyler Freeman has 12 doubles and Andres Gimenez has 41 RBIs with 14 stolen bases while the aforementioned Ramirez has a team-high 16 stolen bases on the year.

The Detroit Tigers will look to build some momentum after their series-opening victory over Cleveland in Monday’s matchup. The win was a nice way to keep the steam rolling after sweeping the Reds this past weekend.

Riley Greene leads the Tigers with 85 hits including 17 home runs and 45 RBIs along with 17 doubles, 5 triples, a .258 batting average and a .353 OBP in addition to a team-high 100 strikeouts this season. Cleveland Guardians vs Detroit Tigers Prediction
I’m on the Guardians here. Kenta Maeda has been really tough to back this season and although he’s been better at home, I still don’t trust him to hold down many lineups, especially a Guardians team that rarely beats themselves and usually has an edge once we see the bullpen take over. The Tigers have been solid over the last handful of games, but in the end, I think the Guardians being the far better team rules out here so give me Cleveland to even up the series.
