Seattle Mariners Betting Preview

This week the Mariners played the Cleveland Guardians. Seattle did well in the opener of that set with an 8-5 win, but lost the next two 8-0 and 6-3 to drop the series. On Friday versus Miami, the Mariners fell 3-2 in 10 innings.

In the starter role for Saturday’s game, the Mariners will send out Logan Gilbert. This year Gilbert is 4-4 with a 2.93 ERA and 93 Ks in 98.1 innings over 15 starts. Gilbert is 36-22 with a 3.62 ERA in 103 career games.

Miami Marlins Betting Preview

Over on the Marlins’ side, they took on the St. Louis Cardinals in their last series. Miami lost 7-6 in the Monday game but came back for wins 9-8 and 4-3 in the remaining pair. In Friday’s opener the Marlins came back from a 2-0 deficit with seven team hits.

The Marlins were going to go with Jesus Luzardo as starter on Saturday, but he's battling a back injury. Instead it'll be Shaun Anderson.

Seattle Mariners vs Miami Marlins Prediction

I’ll probably just stay with the Mariners. With Luzardo out, Miami is already off to a tricky start. Gilbert has given up just four earned in 21.2 innings total over his last three starts, going 1-1 in that time. As for Anderson, he's coming off four earned in 2.0 innings his last time up.

On Friday the Mariners got a nice 3-for-3 effort from Ryan Bliss but not much else happened at the plate. Seattle’s offense is better than that; I think they’ll rebound Saturday.

Andrew’s Pick Seattle Mariners -156
