Florida State vs Boston College Prediction
I’ll stick with Florida State. The Seminoles couldn’t quite keep pace with Clemson last weekend and it was mostly their fault. FSU racked up four turnovers and went just 1-of-10 on third downs in that defeat, all of which took the air out of any comeback attempt they mounted. The Seminoles held the ball for just 25:49 of game time, shooting themselves in the proverbial foot at several points. That makes three straight losses with 36 or more points surrendered in each. The good news is that Boston College should be in FSU’s wheelhouse.
Speaking of the Eagles, they had two lost fumbles, 15 penalties for 129 yards and a rough 2-of-13 success rate on third downs during their blowout loss to a great Duke squad. Boston College gave up 382 yards and 21 first downs defensively. The Eagles should match up better here and get to come home after consecutive road outings. Still, I don’t quite think they’ll reach cover status on Saturday.
