Chattanooga vs Penn State Prediction
I’ll probably take a stab on Chattanooga here. Sure, the Mocs took a double-digit loss in their first game of the year but they didn’t play too badly on the road against a very good Louisville team. Chattanooga ended up shooting 44 percent from the field and 36 percent (12-of-33) from 3-point range alongside a pretty tight 42-38 rebounding deficit. The Mocs committed 18 turnovers though, and only went 8-of-14 (57 percent) from the line. This will be another tricky road matchup but Chattanooga has a bit of experience now.
As for Penn State, they led by 42 at one point in their blowout win over Canisius this week. The Nittany Lions didn’t really have to stretch their legs much to shoot 55 percent from the field along with 45 rebounds and just 10 turnovers. Penn State should also be in control during this one, but I like Chattanooga to make enough of a fuss to power into a cover scenario.

Chattanooga Mocs Betting Preview
The Mocs had something of a disappointing season in 2025-26, going just 13-19 overall. Chattanooga added a 7-11 result in the Southern Conference, which put the team ahead of only the Citadel and VMI in the standings. It was a major disappointment, as the Mocs were picked to finish first in the conference in the preseason rankings. Chattanooga’s season finished with a first-round loss to the Citadel in the conference tourney.
Moving ahead to the 2026-27 season, the Mocs have one game in the bag already. That one came on Monday versus Louisville at KFC Yum! Center in front of over 13,000 fans. Chattanooga ended up falling by a margin of 84-70 in that one. Tops in scoring were Yonatan Levy (six rebounds) and Zach Bleshoy (seven rebounds), each with 14 points. Lenny Anigbata added 12 points with five rebounds and a pair of steals, while Christian Matos came off the bench for 10 points and one assist.
Penn State Nittany Lions Betting Preview
Over on the Penn State side, they had a disappointing season a year ago. The Nittany Lions could only muster a 12-20 overall record with a 3-17 mark in Big Ten play. That effort would put Penn State in the basement of the conference standings behind Oregon and Maryland. The Nittany Lions’ Big Ten Tournament life didn’t last long, as they fell to Northwestern in the first game.
This year Penn State has a game in the can as well. The Nittany Lions played Canisius on Monday at Bryce Jordan Center and rolled to a 40-point victory 97-57. Tops on the team in that blowout win was Roko Prkacin, who came off the bench for 28 points, six rebounds and a block. Leading the starters was Ivan Juric with 14 points and 15 rebounds for a double-double. Josh Reed chipped in 12 points with two boards as well.
