Cincinnati vs Houston Prediction
I’ll take a stab on Houston here. The Cougars had an undefeated Utah team on the ropes late in a road loss during their last outing. Houston posted 368 total yards and 17 first downs in that one, going 9-of-17 on third-down tries. The defense surrendered 24 first downs and 430 yards to the Utes but did have a couple of picks. The Cougars’ 13 points were their lowest total of the season, and they’d previously put up 35 or more in three of four games.
As for Cincinnati, they got pummeled by a great (and unbeaten) Utah team last weekend, giving up 27 first downs, 534 total yards and 7-of-11 on third downs. The Bearcats gained 18 first downs and 456 yards themselves but also went just 3-of-11 on third downs. Cincinnati is mired in a tough stretch of games right now and they’ve lost three of the last four. This one’s not going to get much easier.

Cincinnati managed to put up some cosmetic points from there but still was left with a 49-25 loss. QB JC French was 16-of-30 for 263 yards and an interception while Cole Tabb had 14 carries for 131 yards and a touchdown as the lead rusher in the losing effort.

Over on the Cougars’ side, they were able to open up their season with a couple of wins over Oregon State and Southern. Following a loss to Texas Tech, Houston got back on the horse with wins over Georgia Southern, Central Florida, Kansas State and Oklahoma State.
