The Auburn Tigers and the Ole Miss Rebels will meet Saturday afternoon in an SEC matchup at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi. Let’s take a look at this matchup from a betting perspective.

Auburn Tigers Betting Preview

The Auburn Tigers enter Saturday’s contest with a 4-3 overall record (2-2 home record, 1-1 mark on the road and a 2-3 mark in SEC play). The Tigers arrive at this contest in below average form, losing two of the team’s last three games, including a 38-17 loss to the LSU Tigers last week.

The Auburn offense has struggled to find consistency this season. Through seven games played in 2026, the Tigers are averaging 25.4 points and 376.1 total yards per game. Auburn has accumulated 210.6 passing yards and 165.6 rushing yards per contest.

Defensively, Auburn has been rather pedestrian, allowing 396.9 total yards and 24.1 points per game. Taking a closer look at the data just presented, Auburn has allowed 250.7 passing yards per contest which ranks an abysmal 115th in the nation. If the Tigers hope to defeat a formidable Ole Miss Rebels team on Saturday night, Auburn will need to improve defensively sooner rather than later.

Senior quarterback Byrum Brown has tallied 1,362 passing yards, eight passing touchdowns, 479 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns illustrating his dual threat ability. Talented wide receiver Keshaun Singleton has been Auburn’s top receiving threat, compiling 36 receptions, 431 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns.

Ole Miss Rebels Betting Preview

The Ole Miss Rebels enter Saturday’s matchup with a 5-2 overall record (3-0 record at home, 1-2 mark on the road and a 3-2 mark in SEC play). The Rebels have played quality football recently, winning two of the team’s last three games, including a dominant 31-3 victory over the Missouri Tigers.

The Ole Miss offense has been explosive the vast majority of the 2026 campaign. More specifically, the Rebels are averaging a 432.9 total yards per game, including 284.9 passing yards per contest, which ranks 17th in the nation. It should also be noted that the Rebels are averaging a whopping 36 points per game (14th in FBS).

The Rebels weakness is clearly on defense. Ole Miss is allowing opponents 25.3 points per contest which ranks a rather low 68th in the country.

Talented quarterback Trinidad Chambliss has compiled 1,926 passing yards, 16 passing touchdowns, 134 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns. Wide receiver Deuce Alexander has tallied 43 receptions, 610 receiving yards and five touchdowns, while running back Kewan Lacy has added 388 rushing yards and five touchdowns.

Why the Auburn Tigers will win.

• Elite quarterback play. Senior quarterback Byrum Brown has compiled 1,362 passing yards, eight passing touchdowns, 479 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns.

• Rushing attack. The Auburn Tigers are averaging 165.6 rushing yards per game.

• Enhanced motivation. The Tigers have lost two of the team’s last three games.

Why the Ole Miss Rebels will win.

• Offensive firepower. Ole Miss is averaging 36 points per game which ranks 14th in the country.

• Passing attack. The Rebels rank 17th nationally averaging 284.9 passing yards per game.

• Quarterback play. Trinidad Chambliss has thrown for 1,926 yards and 16 passing touchdowns.

Auburn Tigers vs. Ole Miss Rebels Prediction

In my view, this matchup favors the Ole Miss Rebels. Why? The Rebels hold significant advantages at quarterback, wide receiver and overall offensive production. Trinidad Chambliss has thrown for 1,926 yards and 16 touchdowns this season, while Deuce Alexander has developed into one of the best wide receivers in the nation compiling 610 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns. I believe the Rebels are in an excellent position to bounce back from last week’s disappointing loss to Texas. With that said, I am backing the Ole Miss Rebels to cover the 9.5 points in this game.

Hans Geevers's Pick: Ole Miss Rebels -9.5
