West Georgia vs DePaul Prediction
I’ll stay with DePaul I suppose. The Blue Demons have a couple of key guys back in the fold this year, including 7-2 sophomore Fabian Flores. He’ll be in the post with 7-0 sophomore Wilson Jaques (8.8 PPG at Fresno State) and if all goes well DePaul should gain some solid numbers off the glass from that pair. The Blue Demons have a tricky non-conference schedule set up so we’ll be able to see where they’re at pretty quickly.
As for West Georgia, they have a couple of key players returning from injury, specifically sophomores Chas Lewless (12.8 PPG) and Micah Smith (3.4 PPG). Both guys could log significant minutes this year if all goes well. Most of the roster is a question mark though, so we’ll need a few games before we get a feel for the Wolves’ chances.

West Georgia Wolves Betting Preview
The Wolves took a big step forward last year but still didn’t make it to a .500 record. West Georgia logged a 15-17 run overall and an 8-10 record in the Atlantic Sun Conference. That would put the Wolves below Central Arkansas, Austin Peay, Queens, Lipscomb and FGCU in the standings. They beat North Florida before a loss to Queens in the conference tourney.
Heading into the 2026-27 season, the Wolves have head coach Dave Moore back in action for his ninth year. The team is heading into their third and final season of a transition period from Division II to Division I. West Georgia won’t have key contributors Malcol Noel (8.1 PPG) and Kolten Griffin (7.7 PPG) on the floor this year, though.
DePaul Blue Demons Betting Preview
Over on the DePaul side, they managed to go .500 overall last season at 16-16. In Big East play however, the Blue Demons stumbled to a pretty rocky 8-12 record. That would put the team near the middle of the pack in the standings. In the Big East Tournament, the Blue Demons took a 63-56 loss to Georgetown during their first game.
This year the Demons are heading into the third season for head coach Chris Holtmann. He’s got his work cut out for him, as it’s been 22 years since DePaul has reached an NCAA Tournament (the longest active stretch for any power conference program) and 40 year since they won more than 22 games or reached a Sweet Sixteen.
