UNC Greensboro Betting Preview
It’s been a very rough year for UNC Greensboro so far. The Spartans opened the season on an 0-5 run, falling versus Kansas State, Elon, NC State, Austin Peay and Queens University in that quintet of outings. UNC Greensboro would get their first win of the season over Youngstown State, but they’ve since lost another pair versus Delaware and Miami-OH. That gives UNC Greensboro a rough 1-7 run over their first eight outings this year.
In the Miami-OH game last week, the Spartans held a comfortable 42-34 edge at halftime. UNC Greensboro was outscored 48-29 the rest of the way however, leading to an 82-71 loss. KJ Younger topped the team in the losing effort with 14 points and six boards, while Justin Neely doubled up on 13 points and 11 boards. Assane Mandian added 11 points with four rebounds in 21 minutes as well.
UNC Asheville Bulldogs Betting Preview
Over on the Bulldogs’ side, they’ve had a pretty rough year as well. The Bulldogs lost to Wichita State and Georgia Southern in their first pair, but were able to pull back to the .500 mark with a couple of wins over Lipscomb and Bryant TN after that. The next pair were both losses though, as UNC Asheville fell versus Western Carolina and Tennessee State. Through six games, the Bulldogs could muster only a 2-4 run.
Matched up against App State on Sunday, the Bulldogs went into the locker room with a 33-26 edge. UNC Asheville scored 34 more points from there in a 67-55 win. Toyaz Solomon led the team with his 25 points, eight rebounds and two assists. Justin Wright added 13 points and four boards, while Kameron Taylor doubled up on 12 points and 10 boards.

UNC Greensboro vs UNC Asheville Prediction
I’ll just stick with UNC Asheville but I’m likely not touching this one. Beyond this being a potentially competitive rivalry game, there’s not a whole lot to like with both teams struggling this year. In any case, the Bulldogs did have a nice win over a middling App State team on Sunday. UNC Asheville shot 42 percent from the field with 22-of-27 (81.5 percent) from the line and a 29-21 rebounding advantage but weren’t good from outside (3-of-18 for 16.7 percent). It was the lowest scoring total (67) since the Bulldogs put up just 58 points in a loss to Wichita State on November 4, though.
As for UNC Greensboro, they were doing quite well in the first half of their last game versus an unbeaten Miami-OH team but fell apart in the second half. The Spartans eventually shot 42.6 percent from the field with 17 turnovers but did well in the paint and had a 35-29 rebounding advantage by game’s end. UNC Greensboro had been below 69 points in four of the previous five games, losing four of those five.
