Toledo vs Marshall Prediction

I’ll probably stick with Marshall. The Herd were pretty dominant against Buffalo in their opener this week, posting 54 percent from the field, 42 percent (11-of-26) from outside and a 41-31 rebounding edge. Marshall was great defensively as well, allowing just 37 percent from the field and 19 percent (5-of-27) from three-point range. The free throw percentage (68 percent on 13-of-19) could have been a little better but that’s really the only thing to gripe about when it comes to the 27-point opener victory.

As for Toledo, they managed some fairly tepid shooting in their opener loss to Arkansas State, putting up just 40 percent from the field and 22 percent (6-of-27) from outside. The Rockets trailed for 80 percent of the game but still only lost by a point. In game two versus Michigan State, Toledo was overmatched and didn’t play well, shooting just 33 percent from the field with a 52-27 rebounding deficit and 12 turnovers. The Rockets should match up much better here, but they’ve got to get that shooting percentage up and get more aggressive on the boards.
