The Billikens lost to Stanford in game seven, but they’ve since beaten LMU, Central Michigan, San Francisco and Bethune-Cookman for a 10-1 overall record this year.

In the Bethune-Cookman game Wednesday, the Billikens entered the second half with a dominant 56-22 edge. Saint Louis put up a 56-31 run the rest of the way for a 112-53 blowout victory. Trey Green was tops with 19 points and three assists, and Dion Brown added 16 points with five rebounds and five assists. Ishan Sharma put up 14 points with seven rebounds in the victory as well.

The Billikens weren’t spectacular from the line (15-of-23 for 65.2 percent) however, and did have 13 turnovers in the win. Saint Louis has scored very well this year with 71 or more points in every game and 77 or more in 10 of 11 outings.

As for New Hampshire, they posted just 33.9 percent shooting with a 37-27 rebounding deficit in their tight win over Stonehill. What saved the Wildcats was their nine turnovers compared to a whopping 21 for the Skyhawks. New Hampshire has fewer than 69 points in six of the last seven games, with the lone outlier being 88 in a double-overtime win over Boston U. I don’t think they’ve got the gas to keep pace with the Billikens right now.
