Milwaukee isn’t a pushover, but it lacks the top-level talent to really scare USC. This is one of the better USC teams we’ve seen in recent memory and has a chance to be in the thick of the Big Ten. If that’s going to happen, this is a spot where the Trojans should roll rather comfortably.

Milwaukee had issues stepping up in competition last season, and this is a tough spot to begin the year. I like this USC roster, and if it’s going to reach its full potential, it needs to hit the ground running and build on this offseason momentum. I’ll lay the points with the Trojans.

Milwaukee won 12 games last season and enters year five under coach Bart Lundy. Milwaukee hasn’t made the NCAA Tournament since the 2013-14 season.

Danilo Jovanovich returns after averaging 12.4 points and 6.1 rebounds, while Chandler Jackson averaged 9.7 points and 2.8 rebounds. Isaiah Dorceus averaged 3.7 assists per game, and Simeon Murchison played in 86 minutes last season. Milwaukee doesn’t return a lot of production from last season, but there are two capable double-digit scorers who should contribute right away to keep this group competitive. USC only returns three players from last season, but all of them were key contributors. KJ Lewis also comes over from Georgetown and was just third team in the Big East. Eric Reibe comes over from UConn and started five games for the Huksies. This is one of the better USC teams we’ve seen in recent memory and should push the rest of the Big Ten.
