Loyola Greyhounds Betting Preview
The Greyhounds have had a couple of (brief) runs this year but overall it’s been a choppy campaign. Loyola went just 5-7 over their first dozen outings, then hit a 3-2 run with wins over Lehigh, Navy, and Lehigh again among losses to Army and American. After losses to Lafayette, Holy Cross, and Bucknell, the Greyhounds hit a 3-4 run over the next seven games with losses to Colgate, Army, American, and Boston U. Following a win over Colgate and losses to Bucknell and Navy, Loyola was able to topple Lehigh in their Tuesday matchup. Overall that gives the Greyhounds a 12-18 record across 30 games so far this season.
In their Tuesday matchup with Lehigh, the Greyhounds entered the second half with a 43-38 edge. Loyola was outscored 35-34 the rest of the way but held on for the win in the end 77-73. Leading the team in scoring was Milos Ilic with 17 points, nine rebounds, and four assists. Jacob Theodosiou added 15 points with two steals in 33 minutes as well.
Bucknell Bison Betting Preview
Over on the Bucknell side, they were looking pretty rough as the calendar flipped over to 2025, but since then they’ve improved themselves immensely. The Bison were a rough 4-10 to start the season, then beat Colgate, Lafayette, Holy Cross, and Navy in the next five games. After losses to Colgate and Boston U in the next pair, Bucknell has since rattled off nine wins in the last 10 outings. The Bison lost to Army at that time, beating Loyola MD, Navy, American U, Boston U, Lafayette, Lehigh, Army, Loyola MD, and Holy Cross in succession otherwise. That gives the Bison a 17-14 overall run through 31 games this year so far.
In the Holy Cross road matchup on Saturday, Bucknell opened the game with a 50-43 advantage. The Bison kept it up in the second with a 44-38 run and won in the end 94-81. All five starters finished in double-figures, including Noah Williamson’s team-high 22 points with seven boards and two assists. Josh Bascoe added 21 points with six assists and three rebounds, while Achile Spadone put up 14 points with five rebounds and two assists.

Loyola vs Bucknell Prediction
I’ll stick with Bucknell. The Bison dispatched a struggling Holy Cross team pretty easily in a road matchup during their last outing. Bucknell hit a nice 61.7 percent from the field in that one with a 35-25 rebounding edge. The Bison did have 10 turnovers though, and hit just 11-of-19 (57.9 percent) from the line. Still, that brings the win streak to six games with 70 or more points in five of those.
These teams have played twice already this season, with Bucknell winning both. First was a 79-67 home victory for the Bison on January 29, then a 70-67 win on the road on February 26. Bucknell shot well (49.1 percent) in that most recent victory and went 15-of-16 from the line alongside a 34-25 rebounding advantage. The Achilles heel, however, was the 12 turnovers for 14 Greyhounds points. If the Bison can control their miscues in this upcoming game, Bucknell should be just fine.
