LIU Sharks Betting Preview
The Sharks kicked off their season with a 6-4 run over their first 10 games. The losses in that time were versus Notre Dame, Fordham, Illinois and Winthrop. Long Island U would lose to Mississippi State, FIU and Georgia after that, then beat Central Connecticut, Chicago State, Mercyhurst and Saint Francis in the next four. That would make for a 10-7 record in the first 17 games of the season.
In the Fairleigh Dickinson game on Saturday the Sharks were up by six points 31-25 by the end of the first half. Long Island U didn’t let the Knights get any closer than that on a 35-34 second half and took the win 66-59 in the end. Greg Gordon was the top team scorer with 16 points, six rebounds and three assists. Malachi Davis was close behind with his 15 points, seven assists and five rebounds.
Le Moyne Dolphins Betting Preview
Over on the Le Moyne side, they posted a .500 record at 5-5 over their first 10 outings. The losses came to Xavier, Bowling Green, UMass, Fairfield and Ball State. A 2-5 run came after that, featuring losses to Texas, St. Bonaventure, Boston College, Mercyhurst and Central Connecticut. Le Moyne was left with a 7-10 record in the books across their first 17 outings of the year.
Matched up against Chicago State on Saturday the Dolphins went into the break with a rough 34-30 deficit. Le Moyne got it going in the second half however, posting a 42-23 run on the way to a 72-57 win in the end. Tennessee Rainwater led the team on 17 points with four assists and three rebounds, while Trent Mosquera was right behind him on 16 points, nine rebounds and two assists in 37 minutes of work during the victory effort.
LIU Sharks @ Le Moyne Dolphins Betting Trends: January 19, 2026
Why the LIU Sharks will win

- Le Moyne has lost four of its last five day games against non-AP-ranked opponents.
- LIU has won the first half in six of its last seven games.
LIU vs Le Moyne Prediction
I’ll take a stab on Le Moyne but I’m probably not touching it. The Dolphins started slowly in their loss to Chicago State over the weekend but eventually shot 48 percent from the field with a 31-24 rebounding edge in a road victory over a struggling team. Le Moyne had 13 turnovers though, and got outscored in the paint 30-28 along the way. That gives the Dolphins three wins in the last five games, with 72 or more points scored in each of the victories during that stretch.
As for Long Island U, they took care of Fairleigh Dickinson pretty well over the weekend with 51.8 percent shooting from the field and a 33-28 rebounding advantage with a 52-28 edge in the paint. The Sharks gave up just 36.4 percent shooting on defense, but did have 14 turnovers along the way. That makes five straight wins for LIU, but they’ve failed to hit 68 points in each of the last three.
