The Le Moyne Dolphins and the Nebraska Cornhuskers meet Monday in college basketball action from the Pinnacle Bank Arena. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game.

Le Moyne Dolphins vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers Prediction

I’m backing Nebraska in this one. Le Moyne showed some fight in spots against teams on their level, and while this feels like a number for Nebraska’s team from last year, I still think this is a Cornhusker team that’s good enough to get the job done here and I don’t think the Dolphins have the horses to hang here. Give me Nebraska.

Le Moyne Dolphins Recap

The Le Moyne Dolphins come into the 2026-27 season looking to continue to show growth after a decent 2025-26 campaign where the Dolphins went 15-17 overall including a 10-8 mark in NEC conference play. Le Moyne showed some fight early in a road test against Xavier and held themselves in respectable fashion against the likes of Boston College and UMass but also suffered a 42-point loss to Texas in their toughest test of the season. Le Moyne would earn the 4-seed in the NEC tournament but their stay in the conference tournament was short-lived after being bounced by Stonehill in the tournament quarterfinals. The problem for Le Moyne is that there are no returners from last season but the portal did provide some talent coming back. The other issue is that Kaden Stuckey is the only D-I transfer that averaged more than 15 minutes per game last season but Isaiah Brown comes in from D-II Mount Vernon, averaging 18 points and 3.8 rebounds per game last season. There are a tremendous amount of unknowns in this Le Moyne roster in 2026-27 making it a hard forecast but the reputation for the Dolphins in their brief D-I tenure is that they’ll be able to make some noise this season but time will tell.

Why the Le Moyne Dolphins will win

  • Le Moyne has won each of its last five Monday games.
  • Nebraska has lost six of its last eight night games.

Nebraska Cornhuskers Recap

The Nebraska Cornhuskers come into the 2026-27 season looking to add on to a solid showing in 2025-26, finishing the year at 28-7 overall including a 15-5 mark in Big Ten conference play. The Cornhuskers started the year with 20 straight wins and got as high as 5th in the AP poll but as a 2 seed in the Big Ten tournament, the Cornhuskers would be bounced in the Big Ten tournament quarterfinal by the Purdue Boilermakers. Nebraska would earn a 4-seed at the NCAA tournament and knock out Troy and Vanderbilt before losing in the Sweet Sixteen against the Iowa Hawkeyes. The Cornhuskers lost some talent but bring back their leading scorer in Pryce Sandfort, who had 17.9 points and 4.9 rebounds per game last season while Braden Frager’s also back after chipping in 11.7 points and 3.8 rebounds per game. Trevan Leonhardt comes in from Utah Valley after logging 11.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 6 assists per game with the Wolverines and Sam Orme comes over from Belmont after contributing 12.7 points and 5 rebounds per game last season. The sky feels like the limit for the Cornhuskers, even if they were to take a slight step back in 2026-27.

Why the Nebraska Cornhuskers will win

  • Nebraska has won each of its last 24 games against non-Conference opponents.
  • Le Moyne has lost 10 of its last 11 road night games against non-Conference opponents.
  • Nebraska has won the first half in each of its last seven games at Pinnacle Bank Arena against non-AP-ranked opponents.

Chris Ruffolo's Pick: Nebraska -33.5
