Le Moyne Dolphins Betting Preview
The Dolphins were only able to post a shaky 7-10 record over their first 17 games this year. Next came wins over Chicago State, Long Island U, Wagner and Fairleigh Dickinson, then losses to Long Island U, Stonehill and Wagner. The next three were all wins though, over St. Francis, Mercyhurst and Chicago State. That would give the Dolphins a 14-13 record in their first 27 outings.
In the Thursday matchup with Central Connecticut, the Dolphins were down 39-34 going into the second half. Le Moyne got better from there on a 43-39 run but it wasn’t enough as the team fell in a tough loss on the road 78-77. Trent Mosquera led the team on 28 points with four assists and five rebounds while Deng Garang had 18 points with nine rebounds and three steals.
Stonehill Skyhawks Betting Preview
Over on the Skyhawks’ side, they had a rough start to the season as well, going just 4-12 in their first 16 outings. Stonehill would get wins in five of the next seven however, beating Chicago State, Mercyhurst, Central Connecticut, Fairleigh Dickinson and Le Moyne in that time. After four more straight losses, the Skyhawks were sitting at 9-18 in their first 27 games of the season.
Matched up against New Haven on Thursday the Skyhawks went into the locker room with a 32-30 deficit. Stonehill was outscored 32-21 the rest of the way, preventing the comeback in a 64-51 loss on the road. The team’s only player to reach double-digits was Chas Stinson with 13 points and 12 rebounds alongside one assist, one steal and one block in the losing effort.

Le Moyne vs Stonehill Prediction
I’ll stick with Le Moyne but I’m probably not touching it. The Dolphins are coming off a tough loss on the road to Central Connecticut, despite shooting a very nice 48.2 percent from the field and 52.6 percent (10-of-19) from 3-point range alongside a 33-30 rebounding advantage. The 48.5 percent shooting allowed on defense hurt a bit, as did the 12 turnovers. The Dolphins are still 3-1 in their last four games though, with 77 or more points in three of those.
Back on January 31 the last time these teams met up, the Dolphins posted a 65-54 loss on their home court. The issue there was Le Moyne’s poor shooting (33.3 percent) and 44-36 rebounding deficit. The Dolphins also committed 12 turnovers, but the good news is that they held Stonehill to just 34.4 percent shooting on defense. Le Moyne has a lot to clean up in the road rematch but if all goes well I think they’ve got a decent shot.
