The Gonzaga Bulldogs and the Purdue Boilermakers meet Monday in college basketball action from the T-Mobile Arena. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game.

Gonzaga Bulldogs vs. Purdue Boilermakers Prediction

I’m on Gonzaga in this one. I think that while both teams have turnover, I feel like the impact of the players lost will be felt more by Purdue as that was a lot of their long-standing core that is now gone from the program. Gonzaga’s also well coached with Mark Few and I think Few will have an easier time integrating his new pieces so give me the Zags in this one.

Gonzaga Bulldogs Recap

The Gonzaga Bulldogs come into this game looking to build on a decent 2025-26 season that definitely leaves room for improvement in 2026-27, after going 31-4 overall including 16-2 in WCC conference play. The Bulldogs would knock off Oregon State and Santa Clara on their way to the WCC tournament title in their final season in the WCC before heading to the PAC-12. The Zags would get a 3-seed at the NCAA tournament, knocking off Kennesaw State before being upset by Texas in the second round. There is some turnover from last year, but Mark Few did his best to hit the portal and brought in Massamba Diop (13.6 PPG, 5.8 RPG) from Arizona State to suit up alongside the returning Braden Huff (17.8 PPG, 5.6 RPG). Only time will tell if Gonzaga can return to the promise land in 2026-27 and finally get over the hump to hoist a national crown.

Why the Gonzaga Bulldogs will win

  • Gonzaga has won each of its last 10 Monday games.
  • Gonzaga has won the first half in each of its last 14 Monday games against non-Conference opponents.

Purdue Boilermakers Recap

The Purdue Boilermakers come into this game looking to keep pushing forward in 2026-27 after a solid 2025-26 campaign that saw the Boilers go 30-9 overall including 13-7 in Big Ten conference play. Purdue would take out Northwestern, Nebraska, UCLA and Michigan on the way to hoisting the Big Ten tournament title. Purdue would get a 2-seed at the NCAA tournament, knocking off Queens, Miami and Texas before falling to Arizona in the elite eight. Purdue loses a lot of its core from the last few seasons, so it’ll be up to Daniel Jacobsen at 7’4” to man the paint and be the 2026-27 version of Zach Edey/Oscar Cluff. Only time will tell if Matt Painter can work his magic and create a new core for Purdue basketball.

Why the Purdue Boilermakers will win

  • Purdue has won each of its last 11 games against non-AP-ranked opponents at a neutral venue.
  • Purdue has won the first half in each of its last seven games against non-AP-ranked opponents at a neutral venue.

Chris Ruffolo's Pick: Gonzaga -4.5
