Coppin State Eagles Betting Preview
The Eagles took losses to Maryland, La Salle, James Madison, South Florida, Central Michigan and South Alabama this year before beating Central Penn and Rider over the next trio. The next five were losses to Loyola MD, West Virginia, Liberty, Saint Joseph’s and Radford however. Through the first 14 games of the season that would give Coppin State a rough 2-12 overall run.
On Friday versus Navy, the Eagles were looking at a 12-point deficit by the break. Coppin State didn’t end up getting any closer on a 52-31 second half and took the loss 88-55 in the end. Leading the team in scoring was Hussain Williams with 13 points and two assists. Torrin Andrews added 11 points with four rebounds as the only other team player to reach double-digits in the loss.
Georgetown Hoyas Betting Preview
Over on the Georgetown side, they opened on a five-game win streak over Morgan State, Maryland, Binghamton, Clemson and Wagner this year. The Hoyas would lose to Dayton, Miami and North Carolina over the next four games (with a win over UMBC), then recovered with wins over Saint Peter’s and Marquette in the next pair. Georgetown had an 8-3 record in their first 11 outings this year.
Matched up against Xavier on Saturday, the Hoyas were looking good after the first half on a 40-35 advantage. Georgetown was outscored 45-37 the rest of the way however, and ended up with an 80-77 loss by the end of the game. Malik Mack put up 21 points with three assists and two rebounds while Julius Halaifonua had 19 points with two rebounds. KJ Lewis added 15 points with six rebounds and two assists.

Coppin State vs Georgetown Prediction
I’ll stick with Georgetown but I’m probably not touching this one. The Hoyas had a good first half against a pretty solid Xavier team in their last outing but couldn’t finish off the game. Georgetown ended up shooting a tepid 40.4 percent from the field with just 25-of-43 (58.1 percent) from the line and a 43-33 rebounding deficit. The Hoyas are just 3-4 over their last seven games but the good news is that they’ve scored 76 or more in three straight (a 2-1 run).
As for Coppin State, they couldn’t get anywhere near Navy in their last outing with just 35.7 percent shooting and a 40-25 rebounding deficit alongside 14 turnovers. The Eagles have finished below 66 points in four of the last five games (all losses).
