Charlotte vs Indiana State Prediction
You can make a case for Indiana State and the points at home, but I’m not backing a squad that doesn’t return a single player from last year’s roster. In the world of the transfer portal, some teams are absolutely crushed, and Indiana State is one of them.
Now Charlotte has a similar issue, but Conyers was a productive player and could be the best player on the floor for this game. Also, Charlotte snagged more talent in the portal. The line is reasonable. I’ll lay the points with the 49ers on Monday night.
Charlotte 49ers Betting Preview
Charlotte won 17 games last season and begins the Wes Miller era. Charlotte hasn’t made the NCAA Tournament since the 2004-05 season.
Arden Conyers returns after averaging 7.5 points and 1.6 rebounds, and he’s the only returning player from last season. Charlotte hit the portal hard, and that includes landing Jayden Fort from Georgetown, Chaze Harris from South Alabama, and Michael Walz from Richmond. Charlotte has some respectable players on the roster, but this is a completely new roster, and it’s sure going to take time to hit the ground running. Either way, the product on the court should be improved.
Indiana State Sycamores Betting Preview
Indiana State won 11 games last season and enters year three under coach Matthew Graves. Indiana State hasn’t made the big dance since the 2010-11 season.
Indiana State doesn’t return a single player from last season. Players worth keeping an eye on include EJ McQuillan, who was a key contributor for LSU Alexandria. Meechie White was a double-digit scorer last season for Eastern Illinois. Chance Puryear brings big program experience after playing 36 minutes last season for SMU. With all of that said, there are major questions for Indiana State given the insane roster turnover.
